April 11th Hong Kong, China
We didn't know what to do with ourselves when we woke up at 3 AM. We waited until 6:30 to get ready for breakfast. We ate at Fung Ming Yuen restaurant. Then we took the train to Lantau Island. We walked along a very busy highway until we got onto the Olympic trail, which would take us to the town of Mui Wo. The hike took us about 2 1/2 hours and it was a humid one! We stopped for a beer at a local restaurant and then went to Wah Kee, a seafood restaurant. The food was awesome, but very expensive. We had bak choy with some sort of rehydrated fish, fried prawns with sweet and sour sauce, and fried calamari with spiced salt. We waited for the next ferry to Hong Kong island. Then we took another ferry back to the mainland. We relaxed back at the hostel for a few hours. We attempted to go to Spring Deer for their famous Peking duck, but it was so expensive that we had to leave. We landed at a Turkish restaurant. We had a chicken doner and chicken curry with rice. It was an early night to bed for the upcoming long travel day.
