December 13th Chile
Now I am also experiencing altitude sickness. This is a first for us. We have headaches, lightheaded, and an overall feeling of being exhausted. It is also crazy dry here. When we woke the entire valley was covered with grazing llamas. We spent the first part of the day exploring the lakes. We found an old house built into the side of the rock mountain. We saw flamingos, ducks, geese, a coyote, llamas, and a mountain viscacha. We saw the llamas chase the coyote off. They also threatened to come after us so we kept our distance. We felt pretty bad so we relaxed a lot of the day away.
