June 22nd Panama

Happy Birthday Tiffany!!! Bart went fishing in the morning and I relaxed. We are more than ready to leave this hostel. The beach has been amazing, but the cleanliness of our quarters is unhygienic and the staff are so unprepared. There was supposed to be a shuttle picking us up to bring us into town, but of course they were late so we had to walk. We took the 1 1/2 hour bus ride from Santa Catalina to Sona. It was the most jam packed we have been so far. Then the bus to Panama City. We arrived at Luna's Castle in an area of the city called Casco Viejo. The hostel itself is pretty awesome with a great view.

It's inside of an old historic building and is huge. Unfortunately,
the power is out and they won't even let you use the bathroom. We decided to drop our bags and head out on the town. We explored around and found ourselves to like this area very much. Some buildings have been restored and some haven't.

We did happy hour at Mahala and at La Rana Dorada.

La Rana Dorada is the oldest brewery in Panama City.

We had dinner at the most amazing restaurant called Lo Que Hoy. We had so much fun watching them cook and talking to the chefs. Another great food experience.
